We're Back!
2.6.2003

If you are reading this, you are probably new to the website or a true faithful advocate who was waiting for the day we updated info for our members.

That day has come, and it was worth the wait. Mountain biking in Central Maryland has enjoyed a dry Spring and Summer (perhaps too dry), and the popularity of trail riding continues to grow. New technology by major bike brands, local race series and televised races and "extreme" events are all playing a role in keeping our beloved sport at the forefront of a devoted rider's freetime. And dry trails make for little work for IMBA clubs like ours.

So what else would you like to see for MAMBO? Group rides? Social events? Bike gear swap? Please drop me an email @ jdalik@bikedoctor.com.

Don't forget to check out other advocacy websites such as www.imba.com and www.more-mtb.org. The good folks at IMBA and MORE deserve you attention and support.

The year 2003 will be a true test of fiscal and moral resposibility, as federal, state and local governments try to stretch their budgets. We need to keep all forms of cycling and hiking on the radar of our elected officials. If you would like to know more about what you can do as "Joe/Jane Citizen", drop me an email and/or check out www.BikesBelong.org.
